Construction in Inari, Ivalo and Saariselkä
We are based in Inari. We carry out contracting, renovations, electrical work and building permit drawings across the whole municipality of Inari and elsewhere in Lapland.
Inari is the largest municipality in Finland by area — over 17,000 square kilometres — with a population of around 7,000. In practice that means sites are far apart and travel is part of almost every job. We put travel into the quote openly rather than letting it appear on the invoice afterwards.
The municipal building supervision office is in Ivalo and handles permits for the whole of Inari. We know how it works, which shortens the permit stage.
Our service area is the whole of Lapland, but the municipality of Inari is where most of our work is. More distant sites are agreed case by case.

Three areas, three different kinds of work
Ivalo
The administrative centre of Inari and its largest village, home to most of the municipality's permanent population. The buildings here are mainly detached houses, terraced houses and commercial premises rather than holiday homes. Ivalo also has the municipal services, the building supervision office and the airport. It is at the core of our service area, so travel adds little to a quote.
Inari village
Where we are based. The buildings are detached houses, holiday homes and outbuildings, and much of the work is repair and extension rather than new build. We also work in the surrounding villages, as far as Sevettijärvi and Näätämö.
Saariselkä
Holiday homes and tourism construction. The owner often lives at the other end of the country, and work is done while the cabin is empty. The season sets the schedule: in winter the window for renovation is narrow, and spring and autumn are the easiest periods for larger jobs.

Which areas do you work in?
We are based in Inari and our focus is the municipality of Inari: Ivalo, Inari village, Saariselkä and the smaller villages. We also work elsewhere in Lapland. Tell us the location of the site when you get in touch and we will assess the job case by case.
How are travel costs calculated for distant sites?
Travel and accommodation costs are itemised separately in the quote. You see what share of the price is travel before you sign — it does not appear on the invoice afterwards.
Can you carry out work when I am not there?
Yes. Much of the holiday-home work is done while the owner is elsewhere. We agree in advance how keys are handed over and how progress is reported, and we send photos during the work and of the finished result.
Who processes building permits in the municipality of Inari?
Inari municipality's building supervision office at Piiskuntie 2, 99800 Ivalo. The same office handles permits for the whole municipality, including Inari village and Saariselkä. The wider Saariselkä fell area extends into neighbouring municipalities, so we check the exact location of the property before preparing an application.
Is there a minimum job size if the site is far away?
No. For smaller jobs the service area depends on the scope and location of the work, and travel is accounted for in the quote before anything starts. Tell us what is planned and we will say plainly whether it makes sense to do.
